Cheapest place to buy pistachio kernals?

They are ones without the shells. My friend does a lot of cooking and making loads of brownies with pistachios in them. The reason that she wants them without the shells as they would take forever to shell them.

Does she have a Turkish supermarket (or similar) nearby? May be worth a look in there. Otherwise, Mr T seem to have the cheapest shelled pistachios out of the supermarkets, still a fiver for a 300g bag though. I don't know Aldi/Lidl prices though as there's not one nearby, someone else may have an idea.
I tend to only use pistachios for special occasion baking, so expensive!0 -
Bumping this thread - the cheapest I have found locally is £5.29 for 250g (wasn't prepared to buy at this price!). Am hanging out for a cheaper price if anyone can update?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Mr T are £4.20 for 250g right now so a pound cheaper than you've seen. You best bet would be to find a local world food supermarket. The ones in Mr T work out at £16.80/kg to give you a guide price.0 -
