I'm actually just back from it - situated right beside Sean Quinn's house which could be mistaken for the hotel.
Went with the OH and there was loads to do - spa, pool, golf inc driving range, beautiful walk around grounds amongst other things. If you're are big kids like us there is also pool tables and air hockey!
Class place - Steak & Guinness Pie in Setanta Restaurant comes highly recommended.0 -
Sure it's a modest little pile! http://g.co/maps/pcn7k0

Sean who? Anybody remember him?0

That can't be his house as it isn't in Northern Ireland.

You are actually not to far from Cavan Town so you can go there for shopping / walk about or coffee.
I'd recommend going for a pint or bite to eat in Ballyconnell itself - some good wee pubs there.
I'm off there myself in Feb - Groupon deal.
If you are only there for a couple of days you'll soon put them in!0 -
Love this hotel! Spa in hotel is very nice and has some reasonable offers. It has a hydrotherapy area with steam rooms and salt grotto. Afternoon tea is also very good and not too expensive.
Anglers Rest in Ballyconnell is fab, really big tasty steaks, they also do a carvery type lunch.
Enniskillen also not very far away. If your haven't done around Enniskillen then there's Castle Coole and Florence Court And Crom national trust, and marble arch caves.
Enniskillen Castle has a museum too, lots of military history stuff.
For food in Enniskillen Cafe Merlot is very nice, fancy food but more reasonable than Belfast.
If you like sporty things the Share Centre does sailing, banana boats, wall climbing and more.
Have heard of a French restaurant near Lisnaskea, the Water Mill, it's French. Haven't been but looks good.0 -
