repairing your credit file after bankruptcy

Hi,
I have only just discovered this forum and would appreciate any advice you may have.
I was declared bankrupt in Feb 2009 and discharged in Feb 2010.

Since March 09 i have been living at the 1 address ( registered on the electoral role ) and have been in full time employment with the 1 employer since then on about £20000 per year.

I have just completed a year on a cashplus prepaid credit card so this will show as a successfully repaid loan.
I have had a vanquish credit card for about 6 months and always paid on time although i did go over my limit by £2 for 1 day only when i miscalculated - will this show against my credit rating?
I have just been approved for a sim only mobile phone contract.

Is there anything else i can be doing to improve my file?

My car is worth about £1200 and i would like to trade it in against a car worth about £5000 and get the rest on finance. would i be approved or would this be turned down flat and damage my credit rating?

I am trying my best to get my life back in order. My goal is to be able to get a mortgage in the next few years with my new wife who has an unblemished credit file.

Has anyone out there got a car loan or a mortgage approved after bankruptcy?? Is there anything else i can be doing to work towards getting a mortgage in the next few years?

Any advice would be very welcome thank you.

And if you are reading this and are new to bankruptcy i would recommend the cash plus prepaid credit card which costs £5 a month but after a year shows as a repaid loan and also the vanquish credit card which seems to be the easiest to obtain.

Whilst your BR is still on your file your credit rating does not mean anything, whilst it is not impossible to get the type of finance you are on about, it will be extremely difficult to do so.
