Hi
I was self-employed and earned nothing in 2010/11.
I was employed for the same period and paid my tax at source via PAYE.
Q is - do I need to submit a tax return for the self-employment part? All the boxes will read 0 ...

If the return has been issued then yes. I assume you registered as self-employed.
Remember you will still need to declare any employed income and tax paid.0 -

Unfortunately, once you have registered as a Sole Trader you must complete a self assessment each year until you let them know that you have ceased trading.

No, none. No figures for self-employment whatsoever.
I guess it will be my P60 employment figures which will appear on the form?0 -
Yes - but you need to use the employment pages for that. With zeros for the self employed areas - and a cessation date (if that's the case).If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
