Interesting times, I'm kind of fascinated watching how this is all going to play out, house prices, world economies etc. We are so used to everything 'ticking upwards' almost indefinitely with the odd downturn.

What we are witnessing here is something different, we are fighting now just to stand still, for how long I wonder before we really start to slip ?

As an example, house prices in real terms are just sliding and sliding. Everything has been thrown at it but to no avail. How much are we down from peak now in real terms ?

I thanked that purely for the cheek of your avatar AD.

Took me 2-3 reads to work out who'd posted it!:D
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I thought Ireland had already crashed around 50%! is this 11% further falls, surely this is the bottom for them?
Do your homework on the wall street crash and you see a pattern ..90% of the people who lost thier money did so after they thought that it could fall no further...remember the idiots on here bragging about how little (80p)they were paying for the northern rock shares and tried to get others to buy in on the falls. They also lost a lot of money..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
