What kind of things????

What kind of things may happen now??

So far I havent been asked for anything, no paperwork as such, nothing and still think things are spookily quiet. People (self employed and employed) seem to get letters several months down the line from the OR, what kind of things may they request and is that because the ORs are behind with paperwork. What exactly are they investigating why would they not ask over the phone?.

Is it usual to be asked for 12 months worth of statements and other information even if its several months after BR, anyone any experience of this as I seem to have read most people get asked for paperwork??? My case was the usual domestic BR, old serviced debts etc negative equity but still got asked very in depth questions over the phone with what seemed a very long interview compared to some I have read about...........any ideas what I may expect now????

  • I would say thats you finished now. I got asked for 12 months of statements via letter 1 month after I was declared Bankrupt on 8th Sept 2011.

You may have answered all the OR's questions during your phone interview. So try not to worry.

Thanks Justin, only into my second month and with all the bank holidays/xmas period, may well still get asked then, initially I thought everything was requested over the phone, oh dear better sort my paperwork out again just in case, sick to the back teeth of paperwork.........cheers
  • No worries! If its bugging you then ring your OR, although I wouldnt.

Remember that if you had done a face-to-face meeting they would have kept hold of any statements you took with you, so I wouldn't worry about this request. par for the course it sounds like.

Thank you very much was just trying to establish at what point I can presume I wont hear any more and what I may hear from them about and judging by other posts, it can be a while before the OR writes for info. Time is flying so far and I hate to wish any of my life away but have to admit, I cant wait for this year to pass by.

Thanks again, this forum has been the back bone to get me through an extremely difficult time but with a huge light at the end of the tunnel all the same.

as the debts are no longer yours but the ORs in effect, it would be harder for you to get any info on those, ringing up a creditor now and asking for passed statements would not be an easy thing for you to do,the OR has power to do this now,the type of stuff they could ask from you would maybe be wage slips, proof and expenses and such like, things that you would be able to get as easy as the OR so they save their time and get you to do the running around,12 months sounds like a long time to do a BR case but remeber all cases are covered in that 12 months,so a millionaire going BR with 20 houses over seas and such like would be the type of case where the 12 months would be needed,a simple case such as most of ours, which to us sound confusing but are the run of the mill for an OR.So most are not worked on for most of the 12 months but sit in a backlog waiting to be looked at,relax any info they may ask for will be easy to get,if it isn't your OR wouldnt expect you to be able to get it.
  • I have 10 weeks left of my BR year, and I am still half expecting letters from the OR every day!

The OR asked for what paperwork I had in a pack received in the post just after BR, and a day or 2 before my phone interview. I told him during the interview that I had some of it and had sent it in (didnt have a full 12 months statements on any of my accounts or debts, just bits here and there). He said that was fine, he would get anything else he needed.

I had a small joint endowment policy with my husband, and he wrote to me about that in June, then sent my husband a cheque for his 1/2 in August.

That's it ............ nothing, nada, nowt.

Hope that might help in some way.
