Presumably that's aimed at me? The reason I asked those questions was not because I actually wanted to know the ins and outs of your work life but your post read as if it was going to be one of those where the poster was hiding / being economical with the actual issue and had a hidden agenda in wanting a particular answer without giving all the facts.

Sorry if I offended you but it could have been a different and dubious reason why you asked. If it's part of your role surely you'd just ask at work where they can give you the definitive answer as no-one on here could as we don't have knowledge of the idiosyncrasies of your payroll system/procedures.

You and a few people. To be honest, you did come across kind of aggressive and about to 'tell me off'. There's no sinister reason and there's no way I could have wanted a particular answer because I wasn't sure whether the wording was easy to understand for everyone apart from me and a bit ambiguous. When I found out that it was ambigous, I did ask and got a response.

Thank you for answering anyway and sorry if I seemed to jump down your throat, it just really gets me when people assume others don't know what they're doing.

I can assure you that nowhere in my answer was anything that I meant to question you with (I read it few times and still can't see it)!!
If you mean for the calcs info, it was to provide the "wording" we use for each part of the process!!!!!!
