Some (most?) of these seem to work better in mainland Europe rather than the UK - D005297 is a good one to start with. Try a few and see what you get.

I just had a thought, just pop into a JET garage and pick up a card anyway, register it online (simple) and get yourself the Avis discount anyway. You don't have to use the card to collect point's & there are a number of discounts available from Tyre's & Exhausts, Car Hire, RAC Membership discounts etc....
