Car Wiper Blades

Hi Guys,

Its time I replaced the windscreen wipers and single back wiper on my car. I can't remember the last time I bought some and was in quite a bit of shock when I saw a set in Halfords today for £17.99!

Surely I can purchase some cheap universal ones that would fit my car? Could someone point me in the right direction.......

I have a 1996 N Reg 1.4L VW Polo if thats any help to someone.

I fitted cheap ones and they juddered noisily and didn't wipe very well

This is for 1994 - 2001, they are from £10 to £25 a pair, the rear is £6:76 or £8:24 plus delivery of £2:65

They have open box wipers at £2:67 each but check they are also for the Polo

These are items that have been returned to us by customers who have ordered the wrong type of wiper blade, or items that have sustained damage to the outer packaging. In either case the wiper blades will be in perfect & unused condition. These items are offered at reduced prices and can save you money if you don't mind a damaged box.

Try Wilkinsons in the High Street - £1.99 per blade a few weeks ago.

Thanks for that, I've checked out the website but to be honest I am not sure if I trust the site with my card details so I may just stick to the supermarkets and highstreet.

Thank you - I did a quick google and alot of people and tested these out with some positive comments.

Plus I can order online to my local store to pickup for free, so I'll give these a try and if they don't work properly I can get a refund so all is good. Thank you again.

I bought some wilkinsons blades before xmas when I needed to replace mine in a hurry (one wiper had split). I was very pleasantly surprised - they work great! However, the adapter wouldnt fit on my wipers so had to use the old ones to attach them.

Lidl are doing wiper blades this Thurs. for £4.99 per pair. I've used these for a long time and had no problems at all. I tried Bosch, but after several sets that groaned and juddered, gave up and bought from Lidl, haven't looked back since.
