Mortgages help!!!!!

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie on here, here is my dilemma. Me and my fianc! both have full time jobs. She has an excellent credit history. I have an appalling credit history and my current score is in the 200's as i have just worked it off. We would like to get a mortgage but we have been refused once due to my credit history. Is there any way that we would be able to get one. We have about £10,000 saved up and we are looking at houses in the region of £90,000. I doubt that any lender would give us a mortgage due to my situation and she does not want to buy a house with it being just her on the mortgage. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated as it is driving a wedge between me and my fianc! as she would like to start a life with me. But cant :( due to my reckless spending as a youngster.

What issues do you have with credit?

    CCJ's, defaults, missed payments etc?

If so how much for and when?

  • I have had defaults and missed payments and I have only just paid everything off to clear my debt. I had around £10,000 worth of debt all together but my credit score is still very low.
