Claiming PPI From Bank of Ireland

Hi,
I can't find any information about PPI with my current mortgage with the Post Office( i.e Bank of Ireland).

I phoned them today to ask whether I'm paying this charge (which is likely as my payments are high in comparison to other morgages but the cost ir 3500 to opt out).

The guy from BOIreland stated that they did not use PPI and he fobbed me off by saying that it would be a third party would deal with PPI. I phoned back and asked simply to tell me whether I was paying PPI - He just kept repeating that BOI doesn't charge PPI.

I am currently none the wiser. I live in mainland UK.

I'm not sure how, now, to go about finding out whether I'm paying this charge if the bank who sold it to me is being so clandestine?

If anyone has any experience with either PPI or Bank of Ireland I would really appreciate any help at all.

How do I force them to tell me whether they sold me PPI?

P.S I'm a wimp when it comes to things like this.

Thanks
Lilly

I have a credit card with PPI from BoI and I also live in the UK but I used to live in Ireland.

I'm also trying to find out if I can claim back PPI, because I am indeed paying it, €15 per month for 6 years now.

I haven't yet heard anything back from them but they did say they would send me a copy of my original application form so I can see if I have a case.

he is right, they didnt do mortgage PPI, you have been told this numerous times by the sounds of it. You can just argue you have ppi when you dont.

Was it sold the mortgage arranged by a broker? If os then it could be likely the broker sold you a ppi.
