Wedding Nightmares (as in dreams!)

Is anyone else having these? I have them regularly... now (luckily) they're getting funnier and more bizarre, so I'm not waking up in tears like when I dreamt H2B didn't bother turning up!!!
Last night I dreamt that all H2B wanted to do was go to Las Vegas and get married, so refused to help me organise anything. I then had to spend the night before the wedding sitting awake watching him as he had booked tickets and was threatening to go without me and not get married unless I went!
Eventually we got to the venue and just before I was due to go down the aisle Mum said "Look at the reception room" which had the tables all wrong, mismatched ripped tablecloths that didn't fit the tables and old decorators rags, no food, no bar and people were sitting ON the tables because there were no chairs!!!
I woke up this morning in a total panic for a few seconds, then burst out laughing, much to my OH's disgust at 6am. :rotfl:
Honestly, this is meant to be the happiest day of my life... it had better be worth all this stress!!! :j

Glad I'm not the only one!!!
Posted this as a lighthearted sharing silly dreams thread more than anything.
Also in my dream... my Grandad is making everyone a wooden egg cup which we are then putting kinder eggs in as wedding favours... in my dream they were missing and eventually found on a bonfire in the garden, which my Grandad was puring petrol onto, having spent literally hours making them!

Lol its so strange how things twist around in your dreams, things that have no relation.like my BIL's ex wife was in mine to and i havent seen her in ages so god knows why she popped up0

Ooooh... yeah, one of my early ones there was another bride there trying to take my place, I didn't know who it was until MIL to be called her Jo, then I realised it was my OH's ex...... we've been together 10 years and they split up 6 months before that and have never had anything to do with each other since!!! Oh, and I've never seen what she looks like even!

I have been having a few variations of the same dream over and over again!
It's always the same thing, I dream that I have gone to sleep on the actual day it is, and when I wake up it is my wedding day (somehow in my dream the fact that it is November/December/January when I go to sleep and not April seems to pass my brain by!).
Anyway, what ensues is my sheer panic that I have one morning to do all of the jobs I need to do (and as my list is still quite long this would be impossible!). So I spend my wedding morning running around trying to buy bridesmaid dresses and buy and plan table decorations, and everyone else in my dream is always blissfully ignorant of my stress, telling me I am panicking too much and I should relax as it's my big day!
I always wake up completely relieved that it is not in fact my wedding day, and then panic sets in that my job list is still soo long and in reality I do still have lots to do! :rotfl:
Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often!

I went through a stage of having these (havent had any recently). It was worse when things werent booked, in one dream we were setting up the venue (which I wont be doing!!) and I realised we didnt have a dj booked or have a cake so after we had some food I squeezed into my sister fiat 500 (tiny car- big dress!!) to go to sainsburys and realised I had a black wedding dress (my dress is ivory)!!
In another one my wedding dress was a larger version on the multi coloured flower bridesmaid dress I had when I was about 11!!:rotfl:
In other ones its suddenly the wedding and Im not sorted or organised and its all a big panic.
I think its very common- and hopefully by dreaming all these worries it will mean nothing will go wrong on the day!!0 -
I've had them - always pretty much the same, ie I find myself at the back of church (not getting married in church) in normal clothes with nothing ready whatsoever, someone finds me a hideous looking dress from somewhere which I try to climb into (no-one helping!) while attempting to hide behind a pillar. Then I look at the congregation and don't see a single person I actually know.
I think almost everyone gets them at some stage in planning - I had them near the beginning of planning when things were all a bit up in the air. Not getting them at the moment, perhaps because I'm feeling very relaxed about it as planning is going well, but I'm sure as things start going bonkers in the run up to the day the dream will rear its head again!

Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

It's funny because i haden't had any. However since I went to be measured for my dress last Sat i've been having them. I wonder if it's because it's becoming more really now the dress is happening & it's getting nearer.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Mine are very similar to these... It's the day of the wedding and I've forgotten to do something (buy proper underwear, order flowers, book hairdresser etc) but it all works out fine in the end... Think it's my brain's way of saying "stop stressing, everything will be OK even if something doesn't quite go to plan"...
But things not going to plan is my worst nightmare, I'm quite OCD - everything on my desk at work has it's own place which is square/parallel to something else and I have to put everything back at the end of each task before I start with the next one. You can imagine what I'm like about the wedding planning... :rotfl:0
