any benefit allowance for someone leaving self-employment

My hubby was doing private hire (taxi) work which is technically 'self-employment' for the past 7 months but following a dispute with the company about 'damage' to the car he was renting from them which wasn't going to be covered by insurance he has left their company. In the interim, while he is not employed would he be able to claim any benefits which would help out with our cost of living?

Are you working? He may or may not get JSA if he is looking for work. It'll depend on his national insurance contributions over the last 2 tax years and if they are the right class.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
