Mortgage after BR

As part of my BR I had to give up my house and am currently renting. Was discharged in March 2008 and am looking to buy a house ASAP. Has anybody been in the same situation and has anybody managed to get a mortgage and if so who with?

  • I was told that I would have to wait 6 years (from the start of my BR) for it to come off my credit history. Was told that until then it would be difficult to get mortgage. Not impossible but would probably mean paying more.
