Word of warning - keep an eye on what shops are heading for and have gone into administration
I would hate for anyone to have saved vouchers and then not be able to use them0 -
I'm saving Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy my kids presents for Christmas. Have roughly £20 in vouchers.
I keep my boots points for me to treat myself in the sales. I have about £11 on my boots card.I believe in dragons, fairies, good men and other mythical creatures!0 -
Hi, I love this idea. If I can achieve one thing this year, it will be not dipping in to our December salary when it is paid early. Six weeks between paydays makes for a miserable January
Please could you count me in for this challange. I plan to use:
1) Tesco clubcard points (£6 balance)
2) Nectar (£3 balance)
3) Co-op member points
4) Maximiles reward points
5) Personal savings- hopefully £30 a month starting end of Feb. This I will convert straight to vouchers to avoid using on any impulse purchases.0 -
Welcome aboard everyone I have given you all a number and we are now in double figures lol :j
The main reason for the challenge is we get these vouchers, stick them in our purses and then spend them bu by the end of the year, imagine the amount we will have saved. The thought of going shopping for a day out buy lots of nice presents or things for ourselves and not having to feel guilt because you have not actually spent any money would be amazing. Keep up the good work :jLBM - 3/12/11

I would love to join this - my aim is £400
Sonme of what I already have is what i earned towards the end of last year but havent cashed in till this year as I didnt have enough points etc... but I am counting it towards this year as it will be spent on Christmas and other presents this year.
I have cashed in for January so far -
£5 paypal from Consumer Intel
£20 leisure vouchers from Consumer Pulse
£88 Amazon vouchers from Topcashback - use for all ebay purchases and signed up with sky through them
£3 luncheon vouchers fro Pinecone
£10 Amazon voucher from IPSOS
£8 Amazon vouchers from GFK panels
£7 Amazon voucher from Autoinsight - thats all I will get from them this year I think as I nolonger meet their panel requirements
So thats £ 141 that I have cashed in in January
I also have a £5 Capital Bond Voucher and £15 luncheon vouchers which I cashed in in December as well as £ 40 in Amazon vouchers which I caqshed in in December.
So I have £ 201 in vouchers to spend for Christmas 2012
I also have -
£56 Tesco vouchers which I am saving up to use 3x value for a home education course
£ 6 Nectar points
£ 1 Boots points
and some points with mutual points and maximiles as well as points with various survey companies.
I know I a half way to my target for 2012 but most places I cash in only once or twice a year and as I have already cashed in the last lot from 2011 I estimate I can make about the same again this year hence the £400 goal.0 -
Hi all,
I am doing the £2012 challenge and would also like to collect my Nectar points this year ready for December.
I am setting myself a target of £70
I am also going to see if you can still get the savings stamps in Sainsbury's (does anyone know?) and save a £1 a week so I will have another £45 towards Christmas.
Wish me luck:)Finally Debt Free - April 2009
2012 Challenge £2012 +/ £2012 - Did it:j0 -
This sounds good. I never really use my nector card, but have just recently found it in the bottom of a draw so I've put it in my purse.
Tesco vouchers have £40
Boots have £13:40
WH Smith £3;09
Plus I put all my change in a sealed jar at the end of the week.
By Christmas would like to have £500 saved.:j0 -
Hello can I join in? Does this include collect the Tescos £5 stamps?
Last year, I kept my clubcard vouchers for Tescos which were around £40 and I also collected the stamps and filled 4 books totally to £200. We used this for our Christmas grocery shopping and bevvys. It came in quite handy not having to worry about that as my DH finishes up work at the end of Nov to mid Mar.
This year I hope to reach £300 in stamps and keep clubcard vouchers for Tescos. This may change as I would like to have £200 in stamps / £100 in cash and the vouchers would be an extra bonus.Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%
Total: £8,027.80/£5 = 100%/0.06%
Mortgage £99,692/£51,652.33 51.8%
Car Loan: £9,217.20/7,527.38 81.67%

Hi, I have decided not to set a target but just see how far I can get.
I have just traded in 3 books to a*azon, which, if they are accepted will give me £10.40 on a card. I can add to this throughout the year.
Does anyone know about game trade in?? I want to take mine to a high street chain rather than musicmagpie etc.. but will they put the value on a savings card? I hope they do as it's extra savings for later in the year.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300
