Advance Wealth - GNC Ltd

Does anybody have any experience of this organisation (positive or negative). I am considering switching a number of personal pension funds based on their advice. In addition, if you have a relationship with them, would you consider their fees to be reasonable?

Thanks

Most advisory firms are small local concerns. So, it is unlikely you will get anyone who has. Especially when this firm has only been trading 3 years.

They are probably fine. IFAs handle over 75% of pension business and have under 1.5% of complaints at the FOS. The odds of getting a bad IFA are low.

I would expect their fees, like most IFAs, will depend on what service level you are buying from them. So, you further reduce the chances of someone using the firm, having the same service requirements and the same scenario as you.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • Thanks for the feedback. I had one meeting in December, with a follow up scheduled for tomorrow. I find the whole pension thing complex! The choice of funds etc is mind boggling. I need to have a good level of trust, and reliance on the expertise of the IFA. That said, the advisor seems OK and has correctly identified my approach to risk.

Getting the approach to risk right is vital and a good thing. No harm to ask for feedback on investment recommendations here if you like.
