Just found the newer model of the one you just stated for £88.99 with free delivery, from a uk seller on ebay. Its running ice cream sandwich out the box, Has 8gb storage and a capacitive touch screen.

    Still quite tempted by this.

The seller atates that it has a japanese marketplace. Does this have implications for use in the UK?

So, apart from the massive difference in price (and smaller screen size) ... any techies no how that compares to an iPad 1 ?

Are you serious :rotfl: Its like asking whats the difference between windows and mac or intel and AMD.

They are two different beasts with completely different OS' and marketplaces.

You simply cant compare an entry model Android tablet with a high end IOS device, it just doesn't work like that.

We could go on for hours and hours why some people prefer Apple and some prefer Android. There is no right and wrong just personal preference.

One thing that I would say about an Ipad which is what I have is the warranty. Any problems you walk straight into an Apple shop or give them a call and your sorted. iPads have limitations and its not just about technical specifications, its build quality, ease of use and customer support if any as I just mentioned.

For the record Im also looking for an entry level Android tablet for my 5 year old daughter around the £100 mark.

As I was asking from a technical perspective I think it is perfectly fine to ask how one tablet compares technically to an iPad ie CPU, HD capabilities, capacitive/resistive screen, etc

As you say, OS and apps/softwares is completely different but from a technical perspective ... IMHO comparisons are valid.

That would be my concern as well.

    Quote from the seller:

actually the market is english but limited application. if you see in my shop there is a tablet called AllWinner A10 same quality and have full english market unlimited apps there to install and tablet it self is very good

That's not the same tablet and is not running ICS :(

Can't vouch for the company (never heard of them before) but you can get a white ainol NOVO 7 from here for £71 which claims to have an english marketplace on it.

Still trying to figure our how the previous version of Android had Flash but version 4 doesn't ?
