    Hah

I just asked DD to do the DW and she suggested we bond over doing it together, I said thats fine we can bond doing the rest of the kitchen. She's skirted off to do it :rotfl:

Poor DH is still stuck at work, should have finished at 630 but still stuck at the hospital trying to hand over his patient. No wonder there are no crews out on the road when it can take 2 1/2 hours to clear  and he's got to be back again at 630 tomorrow morning :(
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Kitchen wasn't too bad and dining room is very bare at the moment so tonights list was quite easy. All three levels done, with the exception of the containers. But two cupboards organised so I think that makes up for it!!

No extras done - but it was a long day at work and I need an early night.

    Hugs for Triker and Jue.

We have doubled the broadband speed (test results show it to be the best in the village now :D) by removing the 5 metres of cabling between the router and the master socket (we knew there was a lot, but didn't realise how much was coiled up under the floorboards!). We have cabled networking from the study, spare room and sitting room to the router, and phone points in the kitchen, study and spare room. There are a few power points for the electrician to connect in the spare room sometime, but we're almost done!

New wardrobe is almost built, but as is often the case we are waiting for ik*a to send out a few missing bits. So that will be done at the end of the week, and hopefully the last two shelves too. So tomorrow I have to Hoover upstairs where the mess has been, and hopefully by the weekend will be putting stuff away properly in the study :D

We got on well today, working on this stuff together, so we're going to finish it, and he's on probation with the potential for us to work things out, but knows that he's got to try hard. As he's already planning making a desk for the spare room, I hope he's serious this time.

  • Hey

Just checking in to report that my third week of being a flylady has gotten off to an excellent start. Again, apologies for not keeping up with the thread, but it just moves too fast for me when I'm at work then working at home getting the house done. :D

I actually went to clean out the cupboard under the kitchen sink and it was really stinky under there so I had myself a little bit of a go at diy maintenance and unblocked it all, plus the washing machine pipe too (I hope). Very proud of myself - but hope I don't get carried away with diy etc. Really hope I've sorted the drainage issue with the washing machine...:):A:beer:

Thought I would be able to cross a bit off but no such luck, just remembered I promised a friend we'd go to the gym after work and DD has brownies tomorrow night for which they are looking for a new brown owl, they have suggested I would be good for the role!!! Mmmm maybe a bit too scatty for that although surprisingly DD is up for it. Not sure myself as its quite a big commitment and lots of organising fun things to do for them. Not looking as though I'll get much done but will post tomorrow night once what I can do, has been done.

    Goodnight everyone.
