Hi all,
Hope whoever is reading this is well. I am not
I have really been through this lately, After having my first DAS application rejected following a mis-entry into the amounts by my Money adviser, I had to re-apply. Took ages, all the time getting the usual phone calls, letters threatening litigation, stress depression and so on. It finally got approved at the end of September and I thought YES!!!! On my way to paying back my debts no more hassel, only for my payment distributor to miss paying one of my creditors, HERE WE GO AGAIN...
Letter of intent to revoke my DAS....I had to send proof that I had done EVERYTHING I could, including copies of bank statements proving I paid the payments distributor, and phone calls to the distributor again loads of stress.....after 6weeks I was informed the revocation had been rejected. WOOHOO!!! Back on track...or so I thought.
Now getting horrible calls from one of my creditors saying that they had put loads of charges on my account, I have 5 working days to pay of they will be sending someone around to arrest my assests, another of my creditors seems to have sold on my debt and is requesting their money also. I have explained to both that I am on a DAS, and that they agreed, but they keep telling me they have no note on their systems of this. I also told them they can check for themselves, but they told me the onus was on me to prove it in writing and that they don't have time to check these things....they do however have time to phone me, and be rude!!!
I just want all this to be over, its been a rubbish time, and I really want this scheme to work, I am desperate in fact. Just don't seem to be having any luck with it at all, anything that could go wrong has!!!
I am trying to tell myself it will be fine and that they cant do this, but given my past experiences I am waiting for there to be some loop hole, and that I am going to end up in a whole world of trouble.
Anyone know anything or had a similar experience?? I would really appreciate it!

I would stopspeaking to them on the phone for a start. They are ignorant and obviously have no idea what a DAS is, so leave them to it, if any of it ends up in court, they will look a bit silly not you. Just keep all the letters etc, in date order. They can't add on interest, you know this because that is the way a DAS works, so once again they are ignorant and it isn't your fault. I would speak to your money advisor and she should chase off these eejits for you and also sort out any administrative problems, that's what they are there for. it will be fine, good luckMore than Two Years in

My Money Advisor was from the CAB and she has left there now, so I have to deal directly with the DAS team, which is a bit of a nightmare for me, as I much prefer speaking to people in person, or being able to hand in copies of information/statements/letters etc as some information I sent previously went missing. I now have to rely on the postal system and what I am being told by someone I have never met.
I will see what happens, thanks as always PDD for your support. I will try not to freak out.xx0 -
try not to freak out, DAS is a good scheme, its just that the banks don't quite get it cos its a relatively new way of dealing with debt. Stick with the DAS team, can you not contact them by email then scan in your documents and pop a read receipt on and you know that they are safely delivered.More than Two Years in

I'm not sure, but I will look in to it, that would be a much better way!!! Though it would be an awful lot of scanning, I have had around 10 letters from Moorcroft, and 5 from Midas, and 6 directly from a separate creditor. They actually phoned me several times and told me that the amount I was paying was no longer acceptable (2 months after agreeing to it....plan is set to last nearly 10yrs lol) they wanted me to negotiate a F&F and I told them I couldn't, which was when they got nasty with me.
Any ways, not much I can do on a sunday night so won't lose sleep but I will definitely look in to emailing copies of letters, thanks again.x0
