Allowing for Childcare vouchers in SA return

I'm just finishing my husbands tax return and am confused as to how I let HMRC know that £2,910 of his salary is taken as childcare vouchers with no tax to pay.

Do I simply deduct it from the gross salary received before declaring his income in box 1 (as with pension contributions) or is there somewhere else to put it?

Don't want them demanding unpaid tax for that portion!

Thanks in advance

    Yes - as you say.

The childcare vouchers are simply omitted from the gross salary declaration. Your husband's P60 should show the taxable gross figure, which would be after the deduction for childcare vouchers.
