Scum that pray on the old should be put in the stocks, although that would probably infringe their 'uman rights.
Looks like your mum has had a lucky escape due to you, well done.
Have you looked into taking up any of the free insulation offers from her energy company?
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • I can only comment on personal experience, but we had solar panels fitted in October by solar energy savings and i was happy with the service I received. The Initial salesman was in our house for three hours but answered and asked a lot more questions than the other company we approached. They were dearer than my other quote but the product and the 360 scheme tilted us in there favour. The Installation appeared to go according to plan and took about four hours.Any dealings with the company so far has been good and all the paperwork has arrived as promised.Obviously the 360 scheme is the unknown and only time will confirm that but so far so good.

    Regards Peter and Diane.

Do you realise that spam like this just makes your company look even more disreputable?

The 360 scheme just reeks of too good to be true and we all know what they say about that! I certainly wouldn't hold out any hopes of getting money back. Peter, can you post here what the terms and conditions are for the 360? I'd bet that there is a good get out clause or SES will stop trading before they need to pay out.

By all means read online reviews with some caution but if ALL feedback is negative especially relating to sales tactics then I think the odds are that it isn't competitors but very unhappy customers.

By comparison the company I used for our solar panels is also very large but I couldnt find any negative online reviews. Another company that had very hard sell and dodgy tactics was online and the reviews were an accurate reflection of our experiences. So I think web reviews can give good insight especially if you consider the reputation of the person making the comments.

For someone like peteralba who has no previous posts and "just happened" to join the forum to post how great they are, it has all the hallmarks of a put up job.

If you are unhappy about a service you are pretty likely to post a message about it. To post about a great service that requires you to create a new account to do so is far less likely and we see many similar posts here each week.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • you should talk this through with the micro generation certification scheme to check what rights of redress you with them for sure. What method of payment did she use and how long ago were they installed? may also be worth talking to a lawyer.
