Best to check your credit report online as there could be many reasons for getting refused the mobile contract.
If you report back with the details, someone should be able to help.
How long ago were the bounced DDs?:beer:0 -
How can I get my name off the joint account this is a marriage in trouble and don't see why I should pay for someone else's debt but struggling to get name removed cause he runs his account so badly

As far as I know you an just write to the bank and ask them to remove you as a joint name on the account. You may need both signatures though so he'd have to be on board.
Perhaps phone your banks customer services for advice.SPC5 #1457 Long hauler #293

Yup, it's likely that you'd need his signature too - however, you will still be financially associated so if it is his bad credit affecting yours, you will still have the same problem.
You can apply to be financially disassociated from someone but not if you're married / living at the same address.
If you're divorced or separated & not living in the same house & have no financial ties (ie the joint account & any others would need to be closed), you can can apply.

As far as I know, marriage alone or living at the same address does not associate you. You have to have a joint financial product. If in doubt ask the CRA. Some banks won't take one person off and want to close the account and open 2 single ones.:beer:0

I'm convinced this is wrong.
Marriage or living at the same address doesn't associate people.
And if they are, of course they can apply to be disassociated.0
