I changed to Nicky a while ago due to recommendations on here. Must admit I was well impressed.
Previously only used Andrex but found that its softness and quality had detiorated.
My question now is has anyone found a drop in Nicky's quality ? I personally think it's become thinner.:( My OH thinks so too.
I'd rather pay an extra £ 1 for 18 rolls if the quality remains the same. Providing I'm not imaging this that is !

I've been using Nicky for about 9 months now. Even I live alone and still buy 2 packs of 9 when I have about 3 rolls left.
Not noticed the paper becoming thinner as I was on supermarket own brand stuff before then.0 -
I havent noticed anything happening with Nicky, still the best value around. I pay £2 for 9 rolls, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Nicky do 2 ply and 3 ply - if you accidently picked up the 2 ply when you were used to using the 3 ply, you would definitely notice!!
My local Wilkinsons only stock 2 ply and I cannot get to Farm Foods who stock the 3 ply :mad:0 -

I will second that, my mother in law bought some from Farmfoods a while ago, not realising that they were only 2 ply.
She double checks each time now as there is quite a big diffence in the quality.
I have found that the peach coloured one seems to tear off a bit better than the ones in the light blue bag, ie white rolls, not sure why as they were both 3 ply.0 -
The difference is noticable yes. I must make sure I check!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Also fallen for this ....... there is a marked difference between them so I'd def stick with the 3 ply.
Was a bit worried when I saw the thread title as I love them & they are such great value and I thought "ohhhhhh nooooo" but had forgotten about the 2 / 3 ply until others mentioned it .... so it's a big "phew" here!:DGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I buy this often in Home bargains.0

I couldn't get to Home Bargains (in the next town) last time for my usual stock-up of Nicky so bought a similar one in B & M. 9 rolls of 3 ply at the same price as Nicky. It compares very favourably and I shall definitely buy it again. But be aware they also do a 2 ply one (as do Nicky) so make sure you are picking the right one up!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

i notice a while ago that the thickness was different but never occurred to me that the ply would be different, bought to packs from HB the other day, off now to check what ply it is.0
