Now now. I don't think atro was throwing insults around at all. If anything he/she was trying to make a joke. I'm sure some people appreciate you saying what you did, but it had already been said by the OP. As far as life being too short for slim chances, it doesn't take two minutes to fill in a competition form and you might be lucky enough to win.
