just found out that currys and dixons are selling the new 60gb photo ipod for £309..............yes that is 309 old english pounds so no need to trawl through ebay anymore have fun folks :beer:

Generally Apple seem to control the price quoted by stores quite closely, so that all of them sell it for the same price. It's also £309 on Amazon for instance.

But Curry's is cheaper if you use the 5% off and free delivery codes - down to under 294. And you can use greasypalm or whatever for an extra discount.

You get 'free engraving' with the Apple Store, which is quite nice - I've got it on my 15 gb one.

Trying v hard to resist getting the 60 gb...

Got the iPod 60Gb Photo in Dixons Taxfree at Heathrow for £262.50. And you don't have to fly out of the EU.

great deal i used to have the 20gig ipod but i only filled like 25% so i sold it
I recently got a ipod mini for free. And that does the job fine i still havnt filled that

i have no idea how to fill 60gig of music but then again you could put loads of pics on it

but ive heard that if the pics are really hi-res the ipod stalls for 5 mins trying to load it up

i got an iRiver H320 20Gb instead of an iPod. it can do much more and its 2" colour screen has to be seen to be believed, its awesome. as well as music player, its voice recorder, video player, photo viewer, text file viewer, plays and records fm radio. use it to convert your old tapes and records to mp3. can be charged up via USB ports and has long battery life. £211 from amazon. the H340 model has 40Gb.

If you go to the Apple education site then its £284.35 inc VAT. I qualify as a student, but it is applicable to teachers aswell and as far as I know they dont check. Just put in the details of your local school/college and say that you are a student or a teacher.
