    Math has the right idea.

I soak my toilet in flash bleach spray (only using left overs from the cupboards, amongst using stardrops,) but mainly use the pink stardrops disinfectant for the loo's.
Clean the bath, tiles, shower & sink, with one cloth, and use another for the toilet or sometimes kitchen roll if its a quick clean! Mine gets wiped over about twice weekly and a big clean every wk end.

If you clean you loo's often you shouldnt have to panic ref germs etc.

Hi, Keth! That challenge looks interesting. Do you have the lonk?

    Many thanks, Penny. x

no problem Penelope Penguin.. this is the actual blog, she runs a different (environmentally based) challenge each month. This is the actual entry where she describes it. there's quite a lot of other info on the blog - an entry on reuseable sanitary towels for example.

I would, by the way, read the comments - there's often a *lot* of info and links in the comments on that blog, the reuseable sanitary towels blog has links to making your own reuseables, for example.

Math - thank you!!! I feel all vindicated and stuff now!! And to answer the critic, whoever that was, no i wouldn't just put the toilet cleaning cloths in the machine on their own, that'd be a terrible waste of resources. If i were doing it, i'd have a bucket, with bleach or somesuch in, much like those who use reuseable nappies do, which the towels would go into, and they would be washed along with all the cleaning cloths (and by cleaning cloths i mean those that not only clean the bathroom but also do the washing up, dust etc., so there's a lot of em) on a hot wash with vinegar in order to disinfect properly.

However that's all theory as OH is like you and loves his toilet roll. (and threatened to take his washing up the laundrette if i put "toilet towels" in the washing machine. Actually.. thinking about it.. why is this a bad thing?) LOL. i'm doing everything else as reuseables though.

Not an original idea but a good way of remembering which cloth is for which use in the bathroom is pink for the sink, blue for the loo.

Sorry Kethry I'd rather stick biros in my eyes than put my toilet cleaning cloths in the washing machine. And I sure hope that people who put nappies in their washing machines bleach them first.

I used tea-tree oil to disinfect my kids disposable nappies and put them in the washer with towels or other light things if there wasn't enough to make a good load up. I only bleached them if they were still marked after I had tried to wash them.

I've recently put the nappy bucket away to freecycle in the future but I think I'll bring it back as a cleaning cloth bucket :D I must admit after reading this thread I don't know why I'm still "squeamish" about the loo :o when I've got 2 little ones which has cured me of all my other hang-ups. Time I put this one to bed to I think...;)
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
