I had a telephone call from someone claiming to be Ecohomes asking if they could call to discuss ways to improve our home.
I agreed but after thinking about it, call me a cynic Im wondering if im going to get a hard sell. Someone is calling nearer to my appointment date and im wondering whether to cancel.
I agreed because we are thinking about getting wall insulation.
If anyone has had any dealings with this company I would appreciate any advice.

I've not heard of them, but would be suspicious of anyone cold calling. As a cynic myself, a cold call following by a confirmation telephone pre-appointment are classic trademarks of pressure sales techniques. If you want wall insulation, I would suggest doing some research yourself and get 3 quotes from reputable companies. Cancel the appointment and take the lead yourself0
