Iron on name tags with indelible pen reduced to 30p

I was in Bhs earlier and the laundry pen/name tag set were marked down to 50p from £1, but scanned at 30p. They were in a display box next to the till :)
Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked :)

  • I don't buy these or the saw on one any more after a heard a parent saying that after loosing a number of her son's school sweatshirts she took someone else's and removed the name tag! I also had lost a few which had names in. I stead I now mark everything up with sharpie marker pens.

On the labels in the clothing, the only way of getting rid of the name is to cut all of the tags out!

That's just as easy as peeling/cutting the iron/sew in ones though :/

I sew his initials on the inside of his sleeve seam as well as writing on the label, then if I think it's his but the label is missing, I can check down the arm for it, no one ever thinks to look there.

  • I write in big letters across the back of the collar (above where the label is). The letters are about an inch big so there's no mistake. I only write the surname so I can pass them on to the next child along.

Labels are useful for blazers and dark items where marker pen won't show up.

I used these before and despite following the instructions, the labels came off in the first wash. 30p is probably about the right price.
  • 5 packs for £1.00 at dunelm you can also mix and match elastic ribbon scissors etc looks like they have bought Woolworths old stock as labels are covered up
