Aromatherapy pillow spray for pregnant women

Hi all,

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and finding it difficult to sleep.

I'd love to try an aromatherapy pillow spray to help me sleep but I don't even know if these are safe. Does anyone know of any that are totally safe for use during pregnancy?

Thanks

have you searched google to see if lavender is safe as thats probably your best bet. I know radox used to do one which was nice but I don't know if its still on the market - do you have an ipod - when I can't sleep (quite often) I put on a sleep app which has a timer on it for half an hour and usually am zonked before it finishes.

    Congratulations.

I've searched about lavender and there's so many conflicting reports! Its very confusing as some say its fine and some say to avoid.

Thanks for the tip about the ipod, I'll try that.
  • I'm 9 and a half weeks pregnant and my husband bought me one of those microwaveable lavender bean bag type things that goes round your neck for Xmas. I saw my midwife for the first time yesterday and asked her if it was safe to use whilst pregnant and she said no. She said it'll be perfect during labour or after the baby is born though!
