comparison sites and requotes

I've just been playing with quotes on comparison sites.
Last night, dummy name etc, ran the quote, it came out at £1200. I changed the excess, the quote was similar. I reset it back to the original, the cheapest quote (Same comapny, same details) 4 minutes later, now £1400.

I've done the same again this morning, different dummy name etc, different car, £1400, I didn't even change anything, just re-ran the pricing, 2 minutes later £2350? Same company, same details.

Guess the insurers don't want my custom the second time around.

It does mean if you do make a mistake, you don't get the chance to correct it.

Comments

  • Oh!! That's really strange. I have never did that but from now i am going to check at least twice before buying a quote.
    Thanks
