Working out pro rate pay

I've been just seen a job which sounds quite good, but don't really know how to work out the actual take home pay.

The salary pa is £19126 - £21519 pro rate
32.5 hours per week
It's a school support job, grade 6 in Cheshire

Any ideas?

  • You would need to find out how many hours are full time to help you with the maths. If for example a full time week is 40 hours then divide the full time annual salary by 40 and multiply by 32.50. That should then give you the annual salary for the hours quoted in the advert. Hope that helps
LBM March 2011 (what on earth took me so long?)
    overdraft (1) -2950 overdraft (2) -246.00

This is one of the more annoying aspects of adverts for part time jobs, so many of them do not give the information required to work out what the actual salary for the job is. What's so hard for them to say it's 32.5 hours, full time is (say) 37.5 hours, full time salary 19126, pro-rata salary for this position 16575?
