Week in hand pay

Just a question my mate started his new job on Monday but doesn't like it he has worked a week but has been told this is a week in hand he's planning on not going back next week but will tell the boss this he is wondering wether he will get paid for this week

As he has done the work, he is due to be paid - presumably on the same day as he would if he were staying.
If he had received a written note which gave information about his employment and this required him to give notice even during his first week, then he should give whatever is required and not simply walk away.0 -
