Has anyone spotted any good deals on protein powders for athletes and body builders?
My current best find online is the £36.50 4kg of Extreme Whey from Discount Supplements, there's 133 servings in a bag (haven't worked out the price per serving yet).
I seem to spend a lot of time looking at reccommendations on fitness forums but most are sponsored by supplement suppliers which may influence which brands get mentioned.
I tried Soya protein which is a bit cheaperthan Whey but the taste and texture are a bit hard to live with.

Holland & Barrett do a sale now and again and the protein is usually down to £20 a big tub (usually a good % off original price). That is the cheapest I've seen around, online is prob best!Groceries challenge

If your interested, I got some - next day courier delivery. Chocolate taste (has cocoa powder in) - reviews are high, but for me has a bit of an after taste. This was my first ever protein powder, so I might be a bit harsh as not tried any others. May also be better with milk rather than water. Can't beat the value though and 83% protein.0

Bought a large tub of Whey Protein from Holland & Barrett's yesterday as it was on at half price £16.99.
Got the vanilla flavour and mixed it with milk this morning after my workout. Not bad.SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Whats large? They only had 908g tubs for £16.99, thats £1.87/100g, thats almost 3x dearer than what I posted0 -
finally got my delivery on friday, only slightly late for 'free' next day delivery!
first time round, they gave me a tracking number, saying to check the progress on the royal mail site. only the tracking number was the wrong format for royal mail. one week later, still no sign, so emailed them. apparently they sent it via a different courier, DPD; would have been nice to have told that at the start!
will post back once i've tried out the powder, forces me into having to go to the gym first!0
