I don't know much about printers also, but have found it on the comet website. Same price i thought, but they advertise a 10% off code on the product page and offer free delivery http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=273147

All depends on what you want the printer to do.

Lexmark are allways cheap to buy, but the running costs are expensive, and have a tendency to break.

Well I want to print pics and word documents, thats all really, Ideally bluetooth, because my Mac doesnt have lots of USB ports, and we have a bluetooth reciever.

I have just bought a kodak digital camera (from a thread here) and feed up of having to take my camera into botts etc to get them printed out!

    Anyone offer some suggestions?

If you want to print documents the Lexmark P450 is no good because it's maximum print size is only 6 inches by 4 inches

    # Print resolution: 5.8 million dpi
    # Print speed - colour : 1
    # Maximum print size: 4"x6"
    # Borderless printing: 4"x6"
    # Preview screen: 2.4 inches
    # Direct printing: Card slots &Pictbridge

    specs from comet link

Well the printer you first displayed only prints upto 10x15 photo prints, and wont do A4 paper.

Epson R240 or R260, both excellent printers, good quality pics from them. R260 is a 6 colour ink, so better tones and colour depth.

Neither are bluetooth, but you could but a powered USB hub, or a Bluetooth adapter for the printer.

If you have a jessops near you, use https://www.snapfish.co.uk sometimes, upload to them and collect from jessops (collection is free) and if you can get hundreds of prints for free too, if you know how

Have a look in Boots - they've had some printers reduced to £25ish recently. wouldnt personally have a Lexmark for the same reasons as specified above.
Staples have a good HP multi printer (scanner, copier etc) fr £39.99.

    Oh god, im confused now!

I want one to print pics AND A4, it needs to have a SD card slot or something so I can easily transfer pics.

I looked in boots, they have lexmark cheap, BUT I didn't know if they were any good or not.

Can anyone recommend something for under £80 that will do what I want it to?

    Ta everyone xx

If you have to have Sd card slot how about an Epson Stylus Photo R360

    http://www.tecno.co.uk/Store/s39348/0/Printers/Epson/Stylus-Photo-R360/details.aspx

    £73.30 + P&P

the reason I recomend an Epsom is their cheap running costs compared to especially Lexmark

PS this doesn't have a scanner built in, do you need/want a printer with one?

I recommend Canon for printers, the ink is fairly cheap (unlike Epson/HP) and they offer excellent value for money.

We purchased one of these at Christmas:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-Pixma-iP4300-Photo-Printer/dp/B000IKU4LC/sr=8-1/qid=1171036642/ref=pd_ka_1/202-9465958-1632632?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

Prints excellent quality photos, prints on A4, prints full duplex (i.e. both sides of the paper without any user intervention) and prints onto CD's/DVD's!

We are very happy with it :)

Edit: All you need is PictBridge, just plug in your camera via USB and you're away.

Well if your looking to spend, then either the epson R360 or the Canon Pixma iP4300 Photo Printer, will be ideal for you. (although you wont be able to double sided printing on the canon printer, that function is only available for windows)

personaly for the price and running cost Epson will be cheaper, if you use compatible ink

Plus get a powered USB HUB, that will sort out your usb port. Or at a later date a Bluetooth printer adapter, costs about £40 - £50
