Shares in online grocer Ocado have jumped more than 14% after a jump in sales during 2011.
The firm, which mostly sells Waitrose goods, said that customer orders in the four weeks to Christmas jumped 22% from the previous year, to 405,700.
"We remain optimistic about continued sales growth," said chief financial officer Andrew Bracey.
Overall, sales rose 17% to £643m in the year to the end of November from the previous year.
Ocado's own-brand sales were up 88% in the four trading weeks to 25 December.
Yet another indication that the economy is booming at the top levels of society ..... fantastic news for everyone as the wealth will soon filter down to the Chavs.
Rejoice that the money makers, the doers and shakers, are feeling very confident ..... where the winners lead the losers will follow.

Maybe it's just that I know more than all of you - that I have been around so much longer - that I have seen wars and hunger - that I realise when the end of the gloom is upon us!
Rejoice, for I tell you that we are at the very beginning of marvelous times.
There will always be losers, those who couldn't make a good news item if their lives depended upon it ............... luckily, there are more winners who strive and work hard to pull us around.Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

It still puzzles me how a company losing money every year, in one of the most fiercely competitive sectors, can be valued at £400mFaith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

The Company was set up by a couple of ex City Bankers :rotfl: They were doing alright whilst they had the Waitrose contract. Now Waitrose have Waitrose deliver, they're up the creek without a paddle.

Waitrose had a 20% stake in Ocado which they sold last year for 230p a share.......smart deal0
