  • Well after sending a new letter to the other address regarding my complaint, I have now received a reply just saying they have recieved it and will be in touch within 4 weeks with a reply
  • Well, I have finally had a reply from the Halifax and not exactly happy with it!

They have replied saying it was passed to the DCA because I had missed payments and they couldn't get in touch with me. Lie number one. Two times that I missed a payment they sent me a letter and I went straight into the branch and paid.

Then they said they were unhappy because they did not have my new address and had been trying to get in touch with me for the whole of 2006 regarding my account. Lie number 2. I moved in 2005 and did not miss any payments until the ned of 2006 when they sent me letters asking me to go into the branch. If they did not have my address, how did they send the letters to me? And also how were the bank sending me statements for my other accounts no problem!

Later in the letter they put when the address was updated we attempted to contact you in relation to non payments on the account. I presume they mean the payments I missed which I paid in branch. And how would they only up-date the address at the end of 2006 just out of the blue?

They are also saying that I am not paying the DCA either as they have been in touch with them.

What has happened there is this:
I telephoned the DCA the day I received the original letter from them saying my account had been passed to them. They said they had all my account details from Halifax and would continue taking the monthly payments as normal. I agreed. But when checking my statements, they haven't taken any money as yet. So I sent them a letter asking why they hadn't taken any payments and asked them to confirm the date each month they would be. I still have had no reply from them but they have told Halifax that I am not paying!

I am so frustrated and am going to reply to the Halifax's letter telling them so but what do I do about the DCA. They ignore my letters, can't get through on the telephone and they are saying I am not paying

The DCA is Blair Oliver and Scott, who I am told is also part of the Halifax group.

    Any advise please?
