in Cutting tax
Hey,
Firstly let me say im a novice at money stuff, my wife is on the ball with this stuff but browsing the site today i did have a thought.
I work full time and also attend university part time and have done so for the last 3-4 years. As a p/t student does/should this effect my tax in any way...or shud i still be paying the same as a f/t worker ??
Any advice appreciated !!
Daz.

Being at university doesn't change the tax position for you, and the calculation would happen as normal.
You hear people say they don't pay tax because they are studying, but normally it just means that there earnings (due to studying) are below the minimum earnings threshold.0 -
awww.....pity

That, and various sources of 'income' that students (especially full-time students) recieved are not classed as taxable income.
Student loans, grants and bursaries are not, and neither are academic awards such as prizes for examination results.
I believe there exist other sources of income applicable to students that are not counted either.
So it does take quite a bit for a full-time student to use up all of their personal allowance.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”0
