New Curry Secret question help please

I have the Curry Secret book. I then noticed on ama*on that the New Curry Secret is available, I noticed a lot of posts said the new base recipe doesn't stink the house out like the old one so i have ordered New Curry Secret today. Please can someone tell me the difference between the base sauces, i am assuming it's no different in ingredients just the order they are added then simmered. I wanted to make the sauce today ready for tomorrow but the new book won't arrive untill next week, any help gratefully appreciated ( and apologies for being impatient) Thankyou
