Supermarket baby events - who has the real offers?

It's baby event time again, Sainsbos have one now, Tescos and Asda start soon.
I do most shopping at Asda, but if I remember correctly from last time, they tend not to reduce their own stuff (nappies wipes etc), but instead focus on big boxes of branded stuff, plus hardware bits (seats, highchairs etc). This means that their price floor is not any lower (barring the few offers on huggies that have made them a tiny bit cheaper than their own).
I went to Sainsbos this morning to use my nature babycare vouchers and found their own nappies on offer - and they were cheaper than Asda's own - £4.65 compared to £5 at Asda. (pack sizes were comparable)
I don't usually go to Tescos as I can never believe how expensive they are!
So in terms of getting the best value, which baby event will be best for consumables in particular? i.e. not just for having the best % off on stuff, but the actual cheapest prices? Do I stock up in Sainsbos now?

I really rate the sainsburys own brand nappies and they are the only ones i have found that dont leak in the night with DD, so i am going to stock up on the weekend.
some of the food is on offer too, which if you use it regularly will work out well. I feed DD the hipp fruit pots which are half price so a good saving for me.
I usually buy my wipes in boots. They are ALWAYS have something for about a pound and you get points too (10 per pound if you join the baby club)0 -
OK, so thanks Gillyx, I have had a quick compare between asda and sainsburys. While when it comes to wipes it's a complete minefield (or mindfield as I once saw!), the easy comparison is nappies:
Size 1 nappies:
asda 80 for £6 - 7.5p each
sains 27 for £1.44 - 5.3p each
Plus: sains have their size 2 nappies at 45 for £2.83, so about the same unit price as the size 1s (6.3p).
Also their larger nappies are also on offer at around 10p per nappy - which is always my target price!
So mini-conclusion is I'd better get back to sainsburies and stock up!
(and pray that the value wipe factory manufacture a huge surplus)
oh and as for:
"I think their offers are quite good their Huggies wipes are currently on buy 1 get 2 free so it's a good time to stock up"
.. Not if T bumped the price up to a fiver each or something stupid!0
