Feel like a weight has been lifted

I have been in debt since I was 18 and I'm now 34. I have just under £20k of debt and decided in the new year enough was enough. So I set up repayment plans with all my creditors (all 21 of them) and worked out my payments pro rata. I feel so proud of myself. I know it's going to take about 3 years to become debt free but I made my first payments today and it feels so good. No more worrying about people knocking on the door. I have worked out a budget which means that we can still save a few hundred each month as well so that by Christmas this year we will actually have savings in the bank and if I want to next year I can plough more in to the debts to pay them off quicker.

Well done you should be proud !!! Im in a similar situation, just finalised a full budget and repayments yesterday and today I have woken up feeling like a different woman!

3 years and 8 months for me to be debt free which is much better than the 10-15 years I thought it would be!
