can i refuse my tesco order?

hi im too late to cancel my order as its due in approx 5 hours but ive discovered my bill will work out cheaper if i rearrange a few things so can i refuse my order at the door or will i still be charged for it?

I heard supermarkets will throw food away if it's rejected, that would be an awful waste.

If you refuse delivery of a grocery order because you've changed your mind, you should be banned from Tesco!

I would think you could return stuff but you should still be charged delivery - why not bit the bullet and put it down to esperience?

ps - always pay for mine with credit card and then pay off from other account later - that way so worries about funds.

Its not - when its returned it goes to the appropriate area (frozen tray into large freezer, Chilled into chillers, Ambient tray to loading area). These are then called put backs and as soon as the pickers have a slack few minutes, we take some of the goods and put them back onto the shop floor (as long as they are not damaged). The same happens to substitutes that are rejected by the customer. xx
