Mortgage Application

Hi - am new to this and wondered if anyone can help me!

My husband and I have a joint bank account. Our mortgage is in his sole name and our deal is about to expire so he is looking to find a new one. I have a dreadful credit history and so we intend to keep me off the mortgage - I don't work in any event as we have 2 small children and I am a stay at home Mum, so do not contribute financially to the household.

My query is, as we have a joint account, will the credit reference agencies/bank etc, take my credit history into consideration when assessing his application or given that I am not named on the application, will they only assess his?

Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks
Bumblebee.
