hi all just a quick ?. Got called by this company a few nights ago asking if i had received a letter from them which i hadnt, so they promptly apologised and hung up. today received a letter from them saying they are now collecting on behalf of halifax and to contact them on arranging a payment plan after saying pay the full amount blah de blah. I am on a dmp with cccs and i have emailed them today to send this company my offer etc. My question is i want them to know that this is what i have done but dont want to speak to them. is it safe to emailthem ,they have gave me an email address or should i ignore them and let cccs send out the info i just dont want hounded with calls.

If it were me, I'd let the CCCS deal with it and not make any contact with the collection company at all. However, that's just what I would do, not what you *should* do.
Sorry, that was no help at all, was it?Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70
DMP Support number 424 - Long haul number 3080 -
Just a quick bit of extra info on this company - with whom I'm having a nightmare of time. If you wish, you can view the history of my dealings with them on this thread : https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3586363
I am also on a DMP (via Payplan in my case), I explained the situation to Payplan and they advised me to contact the company directly (although of course this may be different in your case). There was a little bit of confusion when my debt was moved from the original creditor to RWL - although in the end the matter was transfered onto my DMP, and payments have been made and accepted since.
The one piece of advice I would offer is that (even more so than usual), keep all paperwork and ensure _all_ communication is done in writing.
I've noticed a fair number of quite specific complaints about Robinson Way (formerly London Scottish) - on this and various other debt forums, so I figure forewarned is forearmed.
Regards,
