Hi Guys,
Apologises if this is a really stupid question, but how did you buy your accessories - veil, shoes etc.
I have the dress at home and am now think about these other bits and bobs and in my mind I would need to be wearing my dress and try on the veil etc. Otherwise how would I know if tehy work together etc.
feel free to shout at me if its a silly question.:rotfl:

I got my veil at the same shop as my dress, so could try on together. The dress lady gave me a swatch of fabric to colour match the shoes.
I don't really think you'd need to be wearing the dress to choose the veil though? It's more important to think about how you want you hair, and so the style of veil you'd need for that.
I guess when you have your next fitting (to alter dress for height of heel) you could try it all on together? If you're not planning on doing that, then you'll have to work out what size heel is required...???Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

Take a photo of you in your dress, then find a picture of the sort of style you want your hair in. That will be enough to help you decide what style of veil/necklace/tiara etc will suit you best.
Happy shopping!

Thanks Guys.
Really helpful.
I did try veils on when I got the dress and there is one that really went well with it. But can't remember it 100%. Will have to revisit it I guess.0 -

Veils from the dress shops can very very overpriced!!! I looked at what veils suited my dress (and tried different styles with my hair as well by quickly putting up in a bun) when I went to try my dress on and then sourced a veil off an independent veil maker. I saved £125... The lady who made my veil was amazing, she sent samples so I could match the colour and advised me on style which would work with my dress.
I didnt buy any accessories from the shop I got my dress from as I found they were really overpriced.0 -
Aarch, was it an online veil maker? If not, where abouts were they based? Would you mind pm'ing me the details? I'm looking for one to go with my dress too at the mo & am struggling. TIA0
