in Cutting tax
i work for a company use my own car and they do not pay any milage allowance.
i called the tax office and they said i can claim my milage allowance each year filling in a p87 !!!
the lady said i can claim from my house to my start place of work (as im a home carer i can start at any house within 17 miles of where i live, so is different each day), any milage between each call....
so can i claim from my last call to my home as this will be the same as the morning different place every day !!!
also i will be doing approx 8000 miles per year, so do they calculate 8000 x 0.45p and then i get a % of that in my tax code each year ??
11-12 i will have done approx 1500 miles and will get a cheque once i send my p87 in, so will i get 1500 x 0.45p and then a % of that back in a cheque ??
thank you for any help
