I too have suffered from depression on and off over the years and for a long time I couldn't come on this thread as it just made me feel even worse thinking about the debt. However once I started to feel normal(!) again (after a loooong stint of counselling) I came back as it keeps me focused and the people on here are brilliant, and I hope now and again I can help others who are just starting out and as scared as I was. Stay with us, and if you have a wobble just share it, as quite often the people on here will put things in perspective for you. Its not half as scarey when we share our ups and downs on here

Hi all,

Good day today. CCCS called to say that they've got my paperwork and my DMP is now in place. Opened up a new bank account (with NO FEES!) and really kicking on.

Can't believe how helpful and understanding the CCCS have been. 1st class really is.

One thing I would say to anyone reading this. Is DO NOT ignore your debts. There are people out there that can AND will help you with them.

We're all in the same boat here and can offer moral support. I can honestly say I feel different today in a good way. Probably the best I have felt for 2 years. It's a weight off my shoulders to know it's being dealt with.

hiya folks, just waiting for settlement figures from 2 loans and my Natwest credit card to come through and my paperwork will be off to CCCS, i have cancelled my DD to 3 of my creditors for next month and my token payment letters will go tomorrow for 2 loans and 2 CC, have to admit i'm pooing myself, this goes against against everything that i have been brought up to think is right, but i know that its the only way to go,
