Quick question please

Hi, will be back later to share my details but just need to ask 1 question please. A safe bank account - I currently bank with nat west, no debt with them apart from a joint loan with my husband, and have credit cards with American express, Halifax, Sainsbury's, tescos and barclaycard. Will there be any need to open another bank account?
Thank you
Thank you

It would probably be wise.

Thank you Fermi,
Is that because some of the credit cards are linked to Nat West?
Sorry, just trying to understand all of this but have a day off today and could open the account today if need be but would prefer not to if there was no need.

Tesco cards used to be issued under RBS that own Natwest.
I think new business/cards are no longer linked, but I'm not sure exactly what the status of older ones is?
Better safe than sorry perhaps? Although, the risk may be small, especially if they counted as separate institutions.
Then again, if it was me then I would want wages, bills etc paid from somewhere I was 100% sure of.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi, well just to update I made the phone all today to CCCS and I feel so much better :j
If anyone is like me and has been reading this forum for months trying to decide whether to seek help or not I can honestly say its the best thing I have done in years. It took a total of 1.5 hours, as they were able to transfer me straight away to an advisor after the initial details were taken, and both men I spoke to could not have been more helpful and not once did they make me feel awkward.
Just need to speak to someone of Friday, call booked, to decide if an IVA or a DMP would be better for me. I am a long way from being debt free but I feel so much better already.
Now to start reading up on both in readiness for the call on Friday.LBM January 2012 - wish it had been earlier but got there in the end.
