Trust deed completion

My trust deed is complete at the end of Jan 2012. I am looking to change my car but being knocked by for the credit rating - as i would have expected.

Your credit file will be shot for 6 years, and probably will be treated the same as an ex BR, so your best bet will be to try the sub prime car finance companies. If possible, have a fair amount to offer as deposit and definitely be prepared to pay a huge interest rate on any finance you're lucky enough to get.
