debt for someone else at my address

Hi lovely people i just have a quick question
We moved into our house in 2009 and ever since moving in i've been receiving mail for the previous occupier, i found this person on Facebook (a friend of a friend) and messaged her she asked if i could send them on which i have (using my own cash with no thanks!)
Now recently my child have discovered the fun of opening post and managed to get to one of these letters and tore it opened, when i then found it in the toy box i realised that it was from a debt collection agency for a store card debt! now im worried that im going to have the bailiffs at the door and im not sure what to do. also will this affect my credit history at all?

Finally had the "lightbulb moment" now facing up to debts 
If you aint got nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all

NO it will not effect your credit history, but curiosity killed the cat and now you untold worry upon your head, put any more letters in a bin.
A baliff is only a baliff if they have served a court order on the PERSON named in that order, as they dont live there, they wont be serving anythingHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Put them back in the post with "not known at this address". Cost them money to pick them up and they might get the message. Worked for me.:beer:0
