2012 a bright shiny new year

Well thought it was about time I started my own Diary so I can keep up to date with what I am doing and so I can keep on the right track. I have had too many years, of good intentions, but never following through.
Many years in debt darkness, but at last my LBM occurred December 2011, big decision made to change my ways and fortune in 2012.
So far, I have joined some of the challenges and sticking to them like a new religion, they are helping me to make sense of things, and giving me ideas and support,
It will be hard, frustrating and (from the amount of work and overtime I am doing) tiring,
I have been looking at others diaries and I am going to pinch a few ideas, like list making, etc.
Would like to thank lots of the other forum uses for some fantastic insight, and in helping me make this my year, my time to see the light. xx:beer:

Another day another late one, still all the extra work is helping reduce the debts, hubby is really on board which is fab, he is back to work full time now after having first time off in 10 years with a back injury, he will be trying to get back into doing overtime again, to help bring in the cash. Keeping going with all my challenges. Just entered the dogs for CRUFTS which isn't cheap, but always go every year, thankfully had stuff on e-bay which has sold and payed for the day, yehhhh, This forum has helped me look so closely into my spending, and made me think if I buy something where the money is coming form, or how it can be recooped, amazing. You guys are amazing, so thanks:beer:Sealed pot (who knows?)

What a day, had all these good intentions, but finished work late and stuck in traffic for 2 hours, not funny, so stopped off, and ruined my NSD role, but whoopsied bread, and all stuff on special so, not spent a lot and got enough till next weeks big shop, yeh.
Tomorrow, doing extra shift in NH, close to home, so the doggies will get a long walk, hope it's a bit warmer though xSealed pot (who knows?)

Thought I had better update, doing well with the money saving, had to spend today, sick to have to spend £7.50 on parking, started new module at Uni, and had to find somewhere to park, as not familiar withe the area, and late for enrolling, felt physically ill paying it!!!!!!! Will need to find new option, as going once a week will cost me £30 per month, and not prepared to spend that. On a better note found out I can pay into my credit union with a payment card at the post office, ordered one today, so my £1 per day for 365 days will go into that to stop me having a dip in. Well the week-end should be ok, hoping to do a car boot sale (indoors) on Sunday with about 200 DVD's and old toys from the attic, so a bit more to put towards debt busting.Sealed pot (who knows?)

I joined years ago, and forgot all about it, one of those spur of the moment things when they offered it at work, had £40 in it as well that I forgot about, so that will go towards my total, so will be over the £365, but all helps, yehhhhhh:jSealed pot (who knows?)

Well another NSD today, been sleeping, after yet another night into day shift 27 hours, absolutely shattered, other good news, card came to pay into paypoint for my credit union, so with the £40.49 already in there, I have £73.49 towards my £365 target for Christmas, and less likely to dip into it if its safely stashed away.
Need to take a chill pill, got interview on Monday for new job, good money and not as far to travel, but away from what I usually do, so a little scarey, will see what they offer as nothing to loose. Wish me luck xSealed pot (who knows?)

Quite a productive week last week, thought I would update my diary, sorted a new bank account just for direct debits, called all my people who I have direct debits with and changed them over, all for same day as well, so that money will always be available, no nasty charges, not had any for over a year, and intend to keep it that way:j
Cleaned the house, walked the pooches, and made shopping list, only went over by 30p as bought 3 french sticks at 10p and put them in the freezer, love whoopsies. Made a meal plan and have been actually measuring recommended portions, absolutely shocked at just how much we go over at every meal:o Well DH has been please with the results, we both lost a lot of weight last year, and put a little back on over the Christmas period, this has now started to dissolve of the bones again:money:
Spent a couple hours reading other diaries to keep me motivated and get new ideas, then paid money into my credit union. I have a good feeling about this year, let the good times roll:TSealed pot (who knows?)
